Clowns.. scary or not!

What is it with clowns and the fear factor! I admit to having many many phobias.. flying, deep water, small spaces, spiders, bike helmets etc. but never clowns.  Passing the Claremont Showground yesterday and seeing the gate open I thought I'd see if I could get a scary clown shot in the royal show fairground area. This area during show week is packed to overflowing but at this time of the year deserted. I thought that might help with the creepy feel but with skies of blue and not an ominous cloud in sight it was tricky. I did what I could.. what do you think, did the shot above send chills down your spine :) Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe.. P.s. Trypophobia, I have that too :) P.p.s. 'fess up, what are some of your fears!

  4. Clowns don't scare me either! But flying, heights, etc are not my friends.

  5. I guess you can make a clown look scary but they've always been a source of fun to me. Some people are just nuts. But hey, if you can make a few bucks by scaring little kids with clowns, why not? In this county we say "That's the American way. Just ask our Prez."

  6. Nope, he didn't scare me! But, it's a nice try. I don't get the scary clown thing at all. I have that same deep water fear and some heights scare me but flying is perfectly fine with me for some reason. Maybe because I had to do so much of it during my working career.

  7. I'm not actually frightened of clowns but I certainly don't like them. If a clown came to my door I would not let him (or her) in. Spiders make me scream. Flying makes me shut my eyes and pretend I'm on a bus.

  9. Nope, this one doesn't register on the creep scale, but as far as I'm concerned all clowns better keep their distance from me. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.

  10. The closest I come to a phobia was the nightmares I'd have any time I had to teach about insects. Consciously I did not fear them.

  11. I'm not scared of clowns but somehow I can understand some people are.

  12. A clown never makes me laugh but I have no fear for them. They are a bit silly and pathetic to me. I share your fear for deep water, even to walk close to a waterfront or walk over a gangway to a wobly boat is a challenge for me. Can you imagine I married in a tourist boat long ago, must have been out of my mind that day!

  13. Not a fan of clowns, but they don't scare me. Although the black and white image does make that clown look a bit scary...
I'm scared of spiders, snakes and other reptiles.

  14. Wow, there are some phobia I never heard of so far, Grace! Height and heat and spiders is all I got. And yes, that clown does look scary, esp with the blue eye, great idea!
