(Ph)abulous Phibs...

I'm sure I've used that title before :) The street level of 140Perth in the centre of the city is the most amazing space combining food, art and retail. This is the building that Aimee works in.. so many temptations before she even gets into the lift to go up to her office :) The mural here by Sydney artist Phibs graces the wall of the Coffee Club. His work 'signifies the symbiotic, engaging the urban with the organic' his work reflecting 'his own unique realms of symbolism, multiculturalism and mythology'.. often featuring birds and fish. Born in NSW, now living in Melbourne Phibs work can be seen internationally and yes, I'm very happy to say even here in the most isolated city we have a sprinkling of his talent :) Hope you have had/are still having a good weekend, happy Monday, take care and stay safe... p.s. big catch up today!

  1. If the caption works, use it as often as you like! Love the bold colours. Is it a form of folk art in your country?

  9. This is just fantastic. There are too many empty pale walls at work places and public buildings. (I need colours around me, especially at this time of year here at the north of Europe.) This is real artistic work, and I love it!

  19. Phibs is Phantastic. It seems to me to be a meeting between Bali and Star Wars. But that's just me. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
