The lady in the yellow bikini!

This is one for readers in the chilly northern hemisphere.. to warm up the cockles of your heart :) Taken late yesterday afternoon at Hillarys Boat Harbour, and even though the weather was a cooler 34C the humidity was 90%, horrible!! The lady in the yellow bikini, her flowery umbrella and yellow accessories created a colourful footprint.. and below, something new since I was last here, a lifeguard on the shallow family beach this side of the boardwalk. There are lifeguards all along the main Perth beaches but this is the first time I've seen them here.  Excellent idea, it takes less than two inches of water and a minutes distraction for a tot to drown, good to have that extra pair of eyes keeping watch. Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe..

  1. Beautiful shots! I'm not sure if it's a relief or a torment to those people up this way who for some peculiar reason seem to dislike winter!

  3. Ah, beautiful shots indeed, Grace, as always! They look particularly great today and our gray skies have returned, but it still isn't that cold so I shouldn't complain!! After all it is February in the northwest US!!! Hope your week is going well! Enjoy and stay cool!!

  4. Which is the highest temperature in Perth during summer? 90% humidity is nightmare! I know this feeling. Here hit can reach 42C. The building in the background is it a restaurant?

  5. Much as I'm hungry for warmer weather, I'd struggle with that level of humidity - yuck! Lovely colourful shot, you can almost feel the heat in it.

  7. 34 sounds nice, bummer about the humidity. We had 5C and sunshine today, not really beach weather.

  9. Thanks, more snow coming tonight but it is warm enough for mud to form this afternoon. No bikinis here, that I can see but then you never know about some of the girls around here.

  12. Living in the desert, I've learned to tolerate the heat. I don't like it but I can tolerate it. The humidity is another matter altogether. I have a very low tolerance for humidity.

  17. Spent part of my morning removing snow from our driveway and sidewalk, so greatly appreciate your warm, beach photos. Just returned from San Diego where it was warm and sunny.

  19. Beautiful photos Grace! You would definitely find me under one of those umbrellas or in the shade of a tent. I just can't take the heat like I used to when I was a youngster! We get that horrible humidity here in the summer too.
